Bory Var

Bory Var is a castle in Szekesfehervar (Hungary), about half an hour's drive from the south-eastern end of the Balaton. It is, however, not really antique but was designed and built by architect and sculptor Jeno Bory (1879-1959) and his artist wife Ilona Komocsin (1885-1974) during more than 40 years. We were told they actually lived there, so it is not purely an art object but has seen practical use, too.

All of the photos were made using my OM-2 on auto (exposure compensation dialed in as necessary, of course) with Vivitar 3.8/19 mm set to f.8 and Polaroid HD 100 print film (probably OEM Agfa HDC), giving me shutter speeds between 1/250 and 1/1000.
